Hey! What about me? I’m gonna get set up with a real trucking company, ain’t I? Hey! What about me? Don’t you hold out on ME!
mjd4277, Lonesome and Oldironfan Thank this. -
Worked for them for years now.. as long as you're honest and respectful, they're the greatest people to work for. I have a brand new truck, get all the miles I want and can take, can go home whenever & always on time. Paychecks never late as long as you send paperwork in lol Their rules are always clear and straight forward from the beginning.. this Vladimir guy is trippin

Document your loads delivered. Document the paymiles issued to you along with who dispatched you and write that information. Document your load picked up and delivered by trip number or other information used to pay you on. Approach your DM once a month and say we delivered this and that but are not paid yet. Pay me please.
If they don't pay, quit for cause and go to your state's unemployment with the documents. The more precise and detailed they are after you keep track of what is paid and not paid will make sure the State nails your company's balls to the wall for cause and award you the funds.
I had a company in Indiana do far worse than that. Called EckMiller and they not only selectively failed to pay me loads, they also made sure that I sit 10 days with no loads near a steel mill. (Duh.._)
I documented everything and told Maryland no one should deny employees the work for wages to make sure Employee is no longer able to do the work due to no money in a short time. The state agreed and awarded me 6 months funding. The company got very angry on the conference call with the final ruling and went ahead to black list me. I check against any employer until the 10 years was up and they literally are no longer a problem ever again. I go back to flatbed and steel with no problem.
My point is this. When you document carefully anything that will potentially affect your earnings or even a job retention you have a position that is very strong and the company will be less inclined to stiff you either on purpose or by accident.
One time FFE in Lancaster Texas had given wife and I paychecks $0.00 despite the fact that we ran 6000 plus miles as a team that pay period three times. The reason in those days? Paper work from Courier did not arrive in time.
We cannot run on such unreliable payroll. Whatever the problem is. Our expenses never stop.
Later on the companies we ran for paid us instantly on Satellite and direct deposit when our 5th wheel latched onto the trailer and we sent a loaded call. That is the very best way to pay drivers as far as I am concerned. You can run the load like a business and build savings very well.
