If you are going to orientation, then it implies you have your CDL already which you don't.
Edit - training takes a little more time than a couple weeks. -

Many people enter this industry without two nickels to rub together. Many of them survive training and make out fine.
However, many of them never make it to the truck.
OP, only YOU know how badly you want to do this, and how much discomfort you're willing to endure. Starting at CRE is gonna be tough. But if you can survive a year with them, you can go on to bigger and better things.

If you are making more than 40k per year and like the job, I strongly suggest that you leave that job on good terms. Give them notice.
Leaving trucking is sometimes not a choice. It can be dangerous out here. If you have to get out of the truck, you might want that old job back.stylez80Nine Thanks this. -
That’s what they call it I have orientation then driving for 2 to 3 weeks and then I have to take a road test and then back on the road with a trainer
