If he/she asked "have you taken/used any illegal drugs in the past 6 months you're screwed If they asked have you taken/used any drugs Say sure I have Tylenol, Ibuprofen, etc. Of course that's a play on words and they won't have a sense of humor if you get caught.
Should you tell your company recruiter everything?

If you get a hair follicle test , it will show 6 months back I am thinking.

You should be absolutely honest and tell them everything that will help you get a job. This is the wrong profession for you. A hair folical tests goes back as long as your hair. Shave your head and let it grow back out. That's going to be a couple of months. If you fail a drug test you'll never drive again. I've been tested about 15 times in two years.
Personally it would be a great job if you could crank up the tunes and roll down the road toking on a joint. That's a problem for you though. I quit 20 years ago so it's not an issue for me. The hard part of quiting is the social so what happens when you're home? Two months hasn't given you much opportunity to build a social life that doesn't include stoners. I was a stoner from 8-36 and two months is nothing. I went that long just due to being broke. -

If you are subjected to a more rigorous test, you will likely fail it if you have only been clean 2 months.
There is a reason the recruiter said six months.
Lying now might keep you out of a truck for years if they subject you to a drug test better than what temp agencies use.
Also, cut your hair short before going in for your first day. The longer your hair is, the longer the history it contains.
You don't have to tell the recruiter anything. Just say you have to take care of some personal issues before applying. Then stay clean six months before applying. -
@OP I will tell ya what my recruiter told me before I went to the army.
YES : you enlistment stops.
NO : new opportunities.
Therefore always answer no, also keep in mind recruiters are not honest so why you should be upfront, anyways I wish you nothing but good luck and merry Xmas. -
