I've worked a little over a year at Swift and getting close to $1000 net average per week. Every company will have opportunities to increase income if you look for them. After running solo for six months I switched to team dedicated. Recently became a trainer.

If I were a company owner and heard a potential new driver ask for guaranteed income I'd ask if they were going to guarantee performance.

Mega carriers are just now starting a round of increases in order to attract and retain drivers. This will in turn force smaller carriers to do the same.

I bring home $ 870 per week but all I do is run a tank to North Dakota unload and return to Dallas empty. I leave Sunday morning and get home Tuesday night. I have the option to run a load from Dallas on Wednesday to either Corpus Christi, Odessa, or Baton Rouge. I'll be pulling a tank from here on out, so long as I'm driving a truck. I don't think I could even sleep in the truck three nights in a row. I do however enjoy Sunday and Monday nights and occasionally Wednesday nights listening to the hum of the APU.
