about right some the print even smaller too point you need a magnifying glass. they have gotten great at getting suckers erm drivers into there ranks sometimes. Some are outright will itemize everything you make them pay to get you there and have a bill for you be careful of those. I had buddy mine they did that, unfortunately, his father firm was more powerful, and more wealthy then there's bad luck on them they found a rich kid.

Think of what your job should pay annually. They will pay you less and then add in the sign on bonus to almost get you to the right amount.

You would think 10,000 is tempting.

Im not that stupid. Really good companies do not need bonuses.

Where I come from it's customary in the holiday time for the employer to put together a little something extra if possible for everyone.

Would much rather get a great Christmas bonus or performance bonus than a sign on bonus.

    rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

    Someone once said...
"You can't cheat an honest man."

Sign on bonuses are not usually offered by the honest, nor sought after by the same.
Both sides usually seek to take advantage of the other.

Much like a company offering 'free CDL training', and the driver that takes that offer with no intention of staying with the company after they get the training.

To be honest, they get to that point how they treat their drivers, people teach them is bad and it really is you need only look at there high turn rates see where the real problem lies. most drivers won't leave a good company.

Swift only has one bonus, and it is paid quarterly and is for performance only.
It is based on miles run, on-time ratio, number of service failures and number of preventable accidents.

Every now and then they have given a bonus to drivers who run through the Thanksgiving/Christmas season, but not often.

Fuel mileage, idle times and such do not even factor into any kind of bonus.

And yet most people that start at Swift are eager to leave as soon as possible for 'greener pastures'.
Many of them come back, because Swift is actually a pretty good place to work. There is just so much negative talk about the company though, much of it from people that have no true experience with the company.
