they will let their drivers starve, or die of heat stroke however just fine if you like a company that's fine and dandy but ones see the problems and can't work with it becomes hell for them and families.

Is that experience you personally have had with Swift?

In my experience, which is over 8 years with the company, it has not been as you describe.
There are some slow times during the year, as with anyone. But I don't starve.
I can idle as need in hot or cold weather with no questions, and I force a high idle time when I am cooking every day. I have always had higher idle times than most, but no one yells at me for it.

I know many have had a bad experience with Swift, but is has not been me. Or even the majority I think.
And much of the bad has been caused by the driver, not the company. In these forums, or out there, you only hear the drivers' side of things.

How long were you local, and when did it slow down?

What a lot of non advice.
My company offers a sign on bonus, should that be a huge red flag that nobody should work here?

Like Popeye always says, “It are what it are!”

Maybe not a huge red flag, but one should always consider the reasons they might be paying to get drivers.
And what it might cost them in the long run.
