No alot of us are just saying you should probably find a different line of work because you don't have the work ethic to make it work in this field . No body is being a bully, but you need to ask yourself this one question, will you go otr or something similar to get experience if all else fails? If not then you might be setting yourself up for failure

    Just curious:

If you went to Prime for 2 months, you must have thought you would do OTR for a year to get experience at that point, right? What changed after you got out on the road?

Hi. Yes, I did think I was going to do OTR and I wasn't planning on doing any local work. I got out there and realized I would never be home and the reality hit the family. I used to tour a lot but that was before the kids and when they were very little and my wife wasn't working in Management like she does now. We tired it and it didn't work. The plan was to lease op with Prime because we have friends doing it and making great $$ then get a few trucks or buy a truck and lease on with Landstar and be home more often. I could buy used truck now but even Landstar requires a year and I get it.

Also, I found OTR tedious and extremely boring. Running Refer it was literally more sitting then driving.

Just another guy who used a mega to get his CDL.
Never had any intentions of sticking around.
Bailed out as soon as he could.

I'll say it again, I'm all for mega's sticking it
To these guys anyway they can.

You want to make money driving a truck,
    Get out of Florida.
It's minimum wage trucking down there.
    Always has been,always will be.

NOPE. I paid for my trucking school bud.....That said FL is just about the BEST state going right now. We are pretty much open. None of that CV BS shutting us down.
