Seeing the same thing in Arizona, Colorado, Florida. Pulled a load out of Phoenix two weeks ago at $1.85, went back the next week and were offered $1.00 to $1.25 per mile. Loads in Florida are down to $1 per mile. Not a good sign this time of year.

I been getting 1.85 to east ,east coming back at 1.20, so I average around 1.40 deducting fuel.is not good year because the broker know carb regulation,if u don,t do it other driver will need the money to up grade newer truck to go in Cali, but next year will be better rate for any driver have newer truck in Cali.

People said that when 45' trailers came out, then when 48' trailers came out, then when 102" wide came out, and yet again when 53' trailers came out. Didn't happen.

The deal with Cali...There will be fewer trucks running.....

Load to truck ratio will be in the trucks' favor.....

Big trucking has been licking their lips waiting for this to happen. Every mega will be there to cover everything if the rates do go up. Before long there will be an equalizing of the rates as more people upgrade. Probably within 6 months or less, if the rates go up at all.

There probably will be an uptick with intra-state rates since a lot of locals haven't upgraded.

I don't compete with the Megas and the Megas wouldn't do the loads I do.....

You can bet a small to medium fleet will be there to cover anything that's available if the rate is there. I owned and drove through all those things that were going to raise the rates, but didn't.
