I wonder if they’re doing those with those Tyson loads those stupid appointment times like that because idiots don’t know how to make on time delivery… There’s a fairly easy solution to fix in that problem. Get rid of these idiots that don’t know how to deliver on time

 

What do you think of the electronic parking brake? I’m not so sure about that one. I see problems on the horizon with that

 

All the new pickups have the electronic shifters and parking brakes. I have had mine since may of 01 for around 27k miles and no issues so far. The emergency brake is just a button you pull or push

 

From the perspective of a 35 year driver, I hate the idea because of my muscle memory of puling the standard Bendix knobs for my entire career.

From the perspective of a seasoned tow truck operator and trainer within the towing industry, again I hate them because they can't just be pushed in after the truck is aired up to tow. There is a specific procedure to force them to stay released, otherwise they automatically set when the driver door is opened

From a truck driver trainer point of view, with how dumbed down modern trucks are they fit right in. And, at least with the brakes coming on automatically when the door is opened, there won't be people hanging out an open door to back into docks, so that is a a plus.

From the perspective of a mechanic, just more to break on the truck.

Just one more step towards replacing the driver in the cab all together.

 

Thanks to Volvo. They just put a bulldog on the hood, a few Mack emblems around the truck inside and outside and destroy what was one of the best USA trucks ever. They should just spin them off to another buyer rather than beat Mack into the ground.
