Other than the brief squall around Elk yesterday, I dodged another winter storm. Dropped my load in Grantsville UT this morning, then picked up a shorty 2 stopper load off the NSLC yard. 1 stop in SLC by the airport, 2nd stop in Corinne UT. Then I deadhead up to Twin Falls and pick up a load going to McDonough for Sunday before 1700. The McDonough load will put me in near 31,000 for the quarter with 3 days left to go.

They forgot...''You look like an idiot when trying to back your 4-wheeler because you turn the steering wheel the wrong way because you aren't pulling a trailer"

    And

When you're in your car, you keep looking for your hood mirror before changing lanes.

What about reaching for the jake brake when hitting an exit or bombing a hill.

Or reaching for the BRRRRR defeat switch whenever you are going to hit any of the lines on the road.

I tried to pull the air horn on some ####### once or twice as well.

I was on the phone with the wife while driving home for home time when I start going down this hill.
Me: eh frick somethings wrong with the car
    Wife: what is it?
Me: idk the jake ain’t working for some reason
Me: *tries to flick the shifter on the steering column only to realize I’m in a buick*
    -silence-
Wife: *erupts into a snort of laughter*

Needless to say I took about a week and a half off after that one. I’d been out almost 2 months at that point lol

My wife still grumps at me when I am sitting at an intersection with a flashing red light....waiting for the traffic that is still a ways away to pass...in the truck, pulling out would make them hit their brakes before I could get up to speed, but in the pickup, I could have been long gone, but out of habit, I sit and wait. The comment about the flashing red light not ever gonna turn green has passed Mrs. Snackbar's lips on more than one occasion. And yes, she has just as sarcastic of a sense of humor as I do.

To illustrate how Creaffer's IT people don't get it. They have instructed us to setup the Drivewyze app on our Peoplenet, right now, for data collection. Part of this process involves rebooting the tablet. And instructions for setting up the rest of it is in a document...ON the Peoplenet tablet...but...we don't have the ability to split screen like phones and regular tablets do...so why the frick send us a document to set up these stupid things, that we can't see when we're setting up these stupid things. Part of the instructions to set it up are to open the app...but, mine hasn't been turned on, so touching it does absolutely nothing. Maybe I should touch it with a clinched fist...then use paper logs for 2 weeks.

Maybe take a photo of the document with your phone...then you can read the instructions...and enter them on Peoplenet
