ABF seems to do that a lot, overhiring only to have to lay people off in a few months.

I may have been fired...the Peoplenet portal won't let me log in. Says I don't have authorization to access the sight (which is bookmarked so I know the address is right)

After the 10th try, it finally pulled it up. Sunspots I guess. My Love's app screwed up this morning too. Still says it's July 3rd and I have only bought 125 gal of fuel. The 99 gal of fuel and 13 gallons of DEF never showed on the points or showers, but it shows a receipt

I actually ran across one Shaffer driver and he didn’t look very old. Maybe in is late 20s early 30s at most and he literally said he will not drive more than 350 miles a day and will not work past 1600… He said he doesn’t care if delivers at 1900 down at 1600 and that’s that… Those are the kind of people they need to start firing

it just seems to be an epidemic with society I think because I see other places too many people don’t want to work. It’s either because they’re living under their parents roof still they don’t care how much how little they make or they got another revenue income source and they still don’t care about how little they work… Whatever the problem is finding a dependable worker nowadays is almost impossible anymore. These companies need to stop catering to these people

    Really?? o_O

If I were running this company these people would be called in to have a conversation to try and justify this.

I can understand a senior citizen trying to supplement SS but someone our age needs to be made aware of what’s expected.

I have an employee like that. Lives with his sister, likes to show up around 10am. Makes enough for food and video games. I would love to fire him but he is one of the best waterjet operators I've ever seen. Waterjet operators are nearly impossible to find.
