Hey if you want to stick your head in the sand that's fine. Fact is all these doofus's out here running trucks for a dollar a mile plus fuel at places like Amazon or even worse leased on or their own authority is a massive drag on overall rates for EVERYONE. The less specialized the freight, the more dramatic the impact.

How do you think Walmart gets freight hauled to their DC's? Without us, you and your fellow Walmart drivers would have nothing to haul because there isn't enough walmart drivers to haul it in and out. Ya'll would be sittiing around the break room waiting for a load.

Even truckload customers sometimes (lol) have their heads where the sun don't shine. Been a few times there's no weight on the bols or at least a total. One time bills said like 105k, told them that isn't right, "fixed it" still said it was like 65k. Swore that was the right weight. Went and scaled, had maybe 20k in the box.

We get it, companies make their money on the shorter hauls. But then said company gives it to DriverX, and tells him (or her) "picks up Monday 800 hrs, but delivers Wednesday 1200 hrs. Can't drop early.". Expecting DriverX to babysit the load, and act as a rolling warehouse for the customers freight. And then doesn't understand why Driver X is annoyed. "Well, that's all we have" is what DriverX hears.
If companies are going to do that, they need to work with customer to adjust their delivery time, or give DriverX options, like Tcall, or similar. Many times they don't.

You haul it in because you are the cheaper option. Don’t kid yourself.
