Walmart expanded the truck parking at Sydney Nebraska… They made a whole second row of parking with new painted lines and everything…

That's great ...now if drivers would only ...buy what they need ..then leave..and stop parking there overnight ..so other drivers could also shop

too bad it's a dinky one. On the way out to OR I stopped at Ogallala, never again without a jacked up 4x4. On the way back, I stopped at Lexington and had to hunt a parking spot it was so crowded.

Well, I feel stupid.(Or else I need to start wearing my glasses more often). I hustled down to my delivery today as soon as I could get it there, thinking that I had a 1400 pickup in Dallas today. Thanks to several traffic jams (yeah, there was traffic in Dallas today), I got to the shipper at 14:30. Went and checked in and discovered that my appointment isn't until tomorrow...got out to my truck and sure enough, this picks up 8/7. I looked at my earlier load that I just delivered, and it had today's date...so now I just came down to the Wilmer yard because I didn't want to park at the shipper for 23 hours. Besides, I really need a shower and don't want to park at any of the crap hole truckstops in the Dallas area.

Speaking of my delivery today. This is the first time I have had to pay a convenience fee to drop a loaded trailer. (And it says it in the load info that you request a $46 lumper fee to pay it). What's next, a toll booth to exit the property? (like the 'certain ethnic' amusement park a.k.a. Jersey where you have to pay to get out)

$25 bucks used to get you the pleasure of getting into produce row in St. Louis, and you’d have to worry about your truck being up on cinder blocks by the time you got unloaded… if the rats didn’t get you first. I’ve heard rumor that the price doubled too since I been in there last.
