This is kot the norm there.. i’ve pulled out of there multiple times and I’ve only had one time where they were running behind. Otherwise, the other loads were already ready, and I went in and dropped the hook and left

The past 3 weeks since leaving the house, I have had 2 loads without issues. The rest are temperature mismatches, wrong or missing pickup numbers, loading issues, shipper delays, and planning totally ignoring PTAs. It seems that when Shaffer gets busy, they lose their mind and can't get things done right. Goes to prove that they aren't the elite carrier that management proclaims. They need to downsize and go back to taking care of their core customers before they grow too fast and forget how to take care of the important stuff and lose the long term customers that helped build this company.

First of all they’re not screwing Costco over it’s Costco‘s vendor that’s delaying it so where are they messing up customers? I’ve had a couple loads already since I left the house with some issues but guess what I’m averaging almost 3300 miles since I left the house two weeks ago so it’s not affecting me and I don’t let the little crap get to me…

Knight had those same issues. This is what these companies get when they hire these fresh college grads. These young ones today are only looking for the quick fix and not seeing the bigger picture.

So sitting for 18+ hours after the load is scheduled to be ready, waiting for a load is little crap to you? Hell, you got pissed off earlier this week when you were told to wait for Walmart to get a trailer emptied out, and that was a lot less than sitting there 18 hours.

It isn't who is the shipper is that is paying detention, it's Costco paying the bill, so that's why they have the same procedure here as they did at the place in Mira Loma. Don't go in until it's loaded so you can't pinpoint a start to detention.

As for the other stuff like temperature mismatches, that might be little stuff for your dispatcher, but it usually takes mine a while to get it corrected in the system. He may eventually get faster, but as of now, 15-20 minutes is the average wait to get any reply from mine.

Well excuse the hell out of me, but I’ve gotten detention for sitting there… The problem is you want everything 100% perfect 100% of the time and the very second something doesn’t go perfect you start throwing tantrums look at your history. I’m calling it like I see it and I don’t give a ####… The very second you have something go wrong. The end of the world is coming to for you. My asset manager would not have me sitting like that. There’s probably a reason why this keeps happening to you just saying

    #### happens time to time in this business. It’s just the nature of the industry… You gotta take the good with the bad

But your resolution for stuff is running to management every chance you get(or so you claim you do)..."I'm telling on you". I bet when your name comes up on management's caller ID they just shake their head and say "not this guy again" and let it go to voice mail.

A lot of the crap I post about on here is only a part of what I deal with...and a lot of my rants are just venting because, unlike what I was lead to believe about changes here,(which were just b.s.), I don't see any significant positive changes, I only see the same old ####, different day. In fact, in many ways, they changed things for the worse. I don't expect perfection, I just don't need all the extra aggravation with every #### load having issues. Once in a while, yes, that's trucking, but 80% of the loads having a problem is just unacceptable, and it wasn't this bad the last time I was here.
