They don't automatically do stuff like that in Lincoln. You have to tell them. You can roll, but then later on you have to go back thru and enter all the info and send it in. Generally easier to get them to fix it right away. But the main complaint I have is, why so many mismatches? Are we not getting the right info? Are they that careless when entering it? Did they not load the right load on my truck? It never happened this often before, now most of my loads have a temp mismatch.

I usually get a message from Op's telling me to double check my settings. Even before Cory or the Princess were my dispatcher.

I don’t know if it’s just a mixup in communication between the customer and CS… Like this Hershey load that I just dropped this morning it’s a lot of Hershey salty snacks. It’s a dry load. The load information said dry freight Hershey had the ref for running and said temperature control service on the bills, but then when I get to the customer this morning For Hershey, they tell me to turn the reefer off… load of dots pretzels that we haul they want the ray for running at 55° yet Crete is the exact same load in the drive-in. No problem… There is a major gap in communication between customers and CS obviously on some of these things

I had a Dot's pretzel load out of Elk Grove Village like that. Dry vans all around me picking up the same stuff, but load info said 55°. Shipper said no refrigeration needed. On the bills it said 55° for food items, so I guess the shipper didn't think pretzels were food and Shaffer did. I ran it where Shaffer said so I didn't have to get them to change it. When I hit the receiver, I just turned off the reefer because it was going into a dry warehouse.

I always verified the temp with the shipper before I left. Hell I even asked what the temp was before I got in a door.

When I have issues, I ask mine to fix them for me because I am rolling. He always has it fixed by the time I reach my next stop.

Magnum always had a temp on the load offer via elog. They were wrong very rarely. Not sure what he’s talking about.

    Knucklehead and Trucker61016 Thank this.

I would say 99% of the time here the temperature is correct. We just have that one percent where there seems to be a mixup between the customer and operations on what end I don’t know but it seems to happen not that often but it does

    ncmickey Thanks this.

For that Fremont load, thats ridiculous. Normally they're ready in a reasonable time. Had a load out of there once that was iirc 6hrs late.
For the temp mismatch, I'll send a message with whatever the bills say, if my actual asset manager is in I'll hangout a few, otherwise im taking off. Night/weekend have ignored and/or not responded enough times. Like I'll send the message, drive a few hrs and not hear anything, try again, it'll either kick back or go through.
