my asset manager yesterday morning told me that weekend and nights lately has been not responding to numerous messages… Because I had sent them a message that I was getting a tire replaced in Grand Island at about 7 o’clock in the evening Thursday, Friday morning, daytime ops came in and didn’t even know anything about it because nobody said anything from nights…

by the way I had the same issue yesterday loading out of Sioux Falls… They had to correct the setting and after waiting about 10 minutes there at Smithfield I decided that I decided the hell that I drove on I didn’t send my loaded call till I was well into Minnesota

I may go against my choice of not to do dry van and just switch over to Crete after my next hometime (which is after the new quarter starts). I am still having more temp mismatches than correct ones...and I am sick of dealing with after hours trying to get it corrected. The extra 2 cpm to pull reefer isn't worth the extra b.s. anymore.

You know what switching the crete won’t fix your after hours problem… I would just blow the problem off and just go about your business…

It's just frustrating to have to deal with issue that are specific to reefer. Pulling a van, I would eliminate temp mismatches, trailer washouts, and reefer issues. This trailer ran for almost 4 hours yesterday to precool it before checking in, and it only managed to get down to -2. Granted, it was an empty box and 101° outside, but still, if it were an ice cream load, they might not have loaded it.

As someone on the Crete side I never have issues getting weekend dispatch to resolve issues or questions about loads ..most of the time I don't need to talk to anyone I prefer that sometimes of being left alone .

Same here for the most part there’s only one or two people on the weekends lately that I seem to not want to do their job on our side… But I talked to Kutter this week in Lincoln and he mentioned that we can get our asset manager cell phone number, and if there’s a problem on the weekends that are not being dealt with properly. We can get a hold of our asset manager by texted him or call him them… He was emphatic about stating that we could do that

Get a leaf blower… I don’t usually get a washout unless I absolutely need to. I usually blow the trailer out

I messaged the morning shift about the mismatch, and they had it fixed in 5 minutes. We need to do like Moore and SPD did for after hours...nobody home after a certain time until the day shift comes in.

I have one, but there are often times that you can't blow out dirt that is there after the frost from a -10 load melts. I even bought a cheap pump up sprayer for those trailers that only have a few dirty spots that can be rinsed off with a little spray pressure. And then there is those customers that require a washout receipt like Grand Rapids.
