Speaking of Crete and Shaffer...has anyone heard about another pay increase this year??? Probably in time for the new year

 

Yes, in theory it is possible to run more miles by taking resets. That theory depends on running the 70 down under 4 hours before taking a restart.

In practice, it depends on the loads. If a driver runs 600 mile days, running 6 days an taking a restart he will end up driving 15000 miles in 30 days. He can run recaps and average 500 mile days to hit the same miles. If the load appointment times are such that the driver is going to be running less than 550 miles per day, running recaps is probably going to net them more in the long run.

Change the freight patterns or the pay structure, and my opinion on which is better will change.

 

They had mentioned they were working on freight rate increases and when they get them they were going to raise the pay again..

 

Pick up 8/23. Drop 8/23 568 miles
Pick up 8/24 (reset). Drop 8/27 1137 miles
Pick up 8/27. Drop 8/29. 1682 miles
3387 miles in 6 days

 

You could always stretch that out to 8 days so you wouldn’t have to take a reset…just joking of course.

 

Csr strikes again… plan me on a load on in Blakely Georgia and then after dispatch CSR decides to change up the pick up point to Colquitt Georgia 20 miles away, but doesn’t say anything to anybody…
