If that was the case, why can't they keep drivers like me busy...unless I am one of the drivers they're trying to run off.

That is how the majority of the newer drivers are nowadays.

It’s gotten be a major problem here but on the flip-side when they hire these guys, they don’t really know to be honest just how well they’re gonna operate. A lot of these guys put on an act to in orientation. It’s not till they get down the road, a couple of months into their time here that they pick them out and now they’re identifying these clowns and getting rid of them…

I personally ran across a Shaffer driver who told me he will not drive more than 350 miles a day and will not work past 1600… He told me they gave him a load that delivered at 7 PM and he told him he can’t deliver it because he doesn’t work at 4 PM… Those are the kind of drivers that need to go back to McDonald’s for their career

I don’t know because I just ran 36,300 miles last quarter… And I’m on pace to put somewhere in the neighborhood of 135,000 miles on this truck in one calendar year…

it just seems to be an epidemic employment wise not only in the truck and industry just finding anybody who wants to work… People act like they’re working more than 20 hours a week is just a criminal offense in this country and I’d rather sit at home on their PlayStation and play video games all day…

That was before your AM hit the road. Maybe he had some inside info on how this new system it gonna go and didn't want to deal with all the b.s. it's gonna generate.

On one hand im not going to begrudge someone trying to have some semblance of a life besides working, on the other this god forsaken industry really isn't the place for that. Big reason I haven't left, I either want a drastic increase in pay, like well into 6 figures(especially if im staying otr) or a drastic increase in non working time. You know, ro actually LIVE!! That said, if they give me the runs, I do 600+ miles a day, run whatever hours I need to, communicate issues etc. Sometimes though, I hit 300 miles, and I just want to be DONE. as for this new system, unless it came from management, id take it with a grain of salt
