Bull ####, you get the same reminder messages I do with your load info along with the same safety reminders via Peoplenet about even the most basic part of our job. Even if you choose to ignore and delete them, it still shows how the management thinks we're so stupid and forgetful that they have to remind us how to do almost every aspect of our job. And then there is the weekly propaganda update, where they go over it all again, including our Prez telling us to do the Puffin walk (and the Crete Prez saying to duck walk), like grown adult drivers don't know how to walk on any surface that isn't pristine.

let me tell you something since you don’t have a clue. There are a lot of companies that send that stuff like this because of the nature of this business has gotten to where these ambulance chasing lawyers trying to soothe these companies for everything… You’re still living in La La Land absolutely clueless as to what is going on in real world because even dynamic would send that stuff down. They only have 150 tractors… And you sit there and act like they’re talking to you specifically you seem to take offense at everything good luck anywhere you go because your problems are never gonna end

a lot of these companies have started doing these measures as a way to CYA… It’s unfortunate. That’s the where this industry is headed because of all these ambulance chasing shyster attorneys… These companies are just looking into protect their interest because of it unfortunately and until there’s tort reform to fix this problem, it won’t get any better… Even owner operator only companies like MERCER does the same thing a lot of us just ignore the stuff. I don’t even pay any attention to it like many do the same way

Can you fuel where / when / how much you want ?
Can you choose your route you wish to take ?
Can you idle the truck as much as you want to stay comfortable ?
Do you have nanny equipment in your truck ?
There is plenty more micromanaging there that isn't listed .

You don't need to hear from anybody to be micromanaged and to say Acklie run companies don't micromanage is laughable.

You seem to be the "special one" as you are quick to tell on whoever it is to get your way .
I for one find you annoying and I haven't even met you (well maybe I did when I worked for Crete and I didn't know it ,
    lucky me )
I come from the snitches get stiches work environment .

Supersnackbar and I have had our disagreements but I would hire him in a heartbeat as he IS a worker, straight shooter and dependable .

Hopefully he can find a home soon that will fit his needs.

I haven't posted in years but that comment made me laugh and I felt inclined to chime in !!

Best of luck to you Supersnackbar !

Don't you have some managerial apples to polish? Honestly? SPD didn't do it, Wiley didn't do it, Moore didn't do it. So, the companies you've worked for sound like they're all a bunch of truck babysitting companies. Try working for a real company that hires professional drivers that are expected to do the job they were hired to do without having to hold their hands. And I've said it before and I'll say it again, if I said poop stinks, you would find a way to belittle me and contradict me about it. Peddle your b.s. somewhere else, because I have about had enough of your self righteous know it all big talking. You're not impressing anyone with your bs

as a matter of fact, I can’t choose my route within reason they don’t say anything about that as far as fueling they’re paying for the fuel so I’m gonna fuel where they tell me to fuel some of the people sit there and act like you wanna do whatever you wanna do, but as long as somebody else is paid for it, you don’t care that’s not how it works… Some of you want to be owner operators without actually being the owner

Don’t act like every company is like that though. At SPD we can fuel at any loves, (I can fuel anywhere that takes Efs) take any route we want. I’ve never heard a word about idle time even with my last truck that had no idle timer and a #### apu. Very few nanny messages but we do have the Saftey bs on the trucks. Just because you tolerate the micro managing, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

It’s perfectly fine to enjoy where you work while also agreeing that there could possibly be some issues. I don’t see the need to defend a mega carrier any time something is brought up.

I enjoyed my time being leased to FCC and wish that I had leased to them earlier than I did just based off the freight they had close to my house. For a 400 truck company things ran smoothly for the most part, but I can also say they’re not perfect. No company is. Everyone just has to decide what they’re willing to put up with.

I've only been at 2 companies so, cant really compare, but I have seen the advancement. When I started at shaffer, they just implemented fueling restrictions, I think before they would send suggestions, but drivers were allowed to fuel at any of the big chains. My first 3 trucks here just had the onguard unit. 4th truck had the forward radar and lane departure warning. Currently have the side radar too. Routings always been fairly open, within reason. Fueling is flexible kinda. I frequently bypass a stop and request a new solution. Idle time I've never gotten grief for, but never been ridiculously high either. The reminder messages are annoying and have gotten worse, but mostly just ignore them. Don't watch the videos so cant comment. While imo we have better standards than like swift or Schneider, Shaffer still hires newer drivers sonot really surprised at a lot of the stuff.
