No thanks, I'll take my "left leg-right arm" 13 spd. trans. any day over an auto trans. The only auto for me is in my Ram 2500.

Funny thing happened when I came to pick up my load at the JBS plant here in Grand Island. During the inspection, when the guard went to inspect the inside of the trailer, she sniffed and said she was trying to identify the smell. I thought to myself, I smell cow poop, a waste water treatment plant (that you can see from the gate), rotting cow guts and blood...how in hell can you say you smell anything inside my trailer (that I couldn't smell when I opened it at the Lincoln yard to check to see if it was in useable condition.)
Rugerfan, hotrod1653, trucker-chase and 3 others Thank this. -
Pulling your leg, I think…
Rugerfan and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
The guard at the plant says my load wasn't ready at 0330 and to park and wait for them to call. Shaffer sent me a message an hour ago saying my load was ready at 1530 yesterday. I hate JBS with a passion. Customers like this are another reason to transfer to Crete!!!
Rugerfan, trucker-chase and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
my load for Tyson and Lexington then I’m picking up this morning was ready yesterday morning. I’ve already got a trailer number… I’ve never had that issue at that plant… Somebody screwed up somewhere that’s for certain… Somebody obviously emailed Lincoln that the trailer was ready if somebody in Lincoln sent you a message that the trailer was readyhope not dumb twucker Thanks this.
-
I’d have to guess that the guard is the stupid one in that case, and can’t tell 0330 from 1530 without a digital watch.
hope not dumb twucker and Bumper Thank this. -
She punched the number in the computer, then told me to park and put me on the call list. She's at least my age, but that doesn't mean anything, it is Nebraska, maybe she majored in cow tipping in high school.hope not dumb twucker and Bumper Thank this.

They're so overloaded with empties, it was tough to find an empty hole to drop my trailer. Looked like any given truckstop in Wyoming during a blizzard.hope not dumb twucker and drvrtech77 Thank this.

I guess I’ll see what Tyson and Lexington looks like in a couple of hours. How packed their yard is… There’s somebody else on here that hauls cattle that mention that these three big producers are cutting back production probably to get prices to risehope not dumb twucker Thanks this.
-
They can raise prices, but if they don't adjust their appointments then a lot of that increase will go to paying carriers detention. And the amount we drivers see is just a small amount of what the carriers charge per hour.hope not dumb twucker Thanks this.
