A teacher sang that to a black kid, and all hell broke loose. Granted she sang it to all her kids on their birthdays.

Why are you paying cash for that stuff?? Get an efs code.. cash receipts should have your trip number and your truck number and driver code also

Because a check takes too long when a small place is busy. You have to get the code, fill out a check (for those that don't accept just the code), get it approved, then get the receipt. Cash is faster, and my receipt had truck, trailer, trip, driver code on it, and they still missed it. Deland got it taken care of and it will be on next weeks check.

When I spoke to Mike about that weird glitch with the different variations of the same fuel solution. On his end, the freeform message had all the same stops that my app had (plus his view of it had the times I should fuel). He was at a loss as to why my freeform message was missing the last fuel stop, or why it had 2 different amounts to fuel at the final stop (on the appand on his side of the freeform solution).

And it will all change anyway because it doesn't know what trailer I will be picking up, plus, I am not going the route the system expects. It wants me to go thru ND to get to NJ out of WA (which is a slightly shorter route), but I am going down thru OR, ID, UT and WY because there is some of that frozen 4-letter word predicted across the northern route, and other than a little wind, WY isn't predicted to see any of it.

I can't believe that companies are doing these controlled fuel stops with limited amount of fuel per stop. Wouldn't it be just as smart to fill up as needed? They really can't be saving that much and the driver has to make several stops to attain the same amount of fuel as 1 stop. When I was driving we either had a credit card or cash and we just filled the tanks full when needed and saved time.

Because you're looking at the price on the board Crete doesn't pay that usually a dollar less.....that adds up if 6000 trucks just do whatever they want, ..... they're debt free for a reason....

That maybe so but the more times you have stop that's less miles you can do that day because 1 fuel could take u a half hour but next 1 maybe 10 minutes. You never how long a stop make take.

Trucks I can see, but reefers? The limited amount they're fueling multiplied times the limited times they choose to fuel doesn't really add up to that much in the grand scheme of things. They could easily net more savings by putting APUs on all their OTR trucks (and then maintaining them properly). One phrase I keep hearing from Lincoln when they call is "we want our drivers to be happy", which is total b.s. they want to micromanage us down to the point where we are constantly looking over our shoulder wondering what are they gonna think we did wrong this time. I'm surprised they don't have methane sensors in the seats to see if we're farting too much so they can recommend a medical check-up. A MASH episode says it all...Rizzo says something along the lines of "never let 'em see you smile, if they think your happy then the brass feel they haven't done their job, but if you gripe and complain, they'll leave you alone"...that pretty much fits here. If they put APUs on their trucks, they'd save fuel, save extra wear and tear on these emissions engines/systems and make more drivers comfortable and happy, but then they couldn't justify sending out those occasional messages telling us to only charge our phones and laptops while driving to try to reduce idling (like that saves anything), and then they wouldn't need to tell us where to fuel our reefers. And I fear that when Jr gets to take full control, the micromanaging is only gonna increase...I say f-it and do like @drvrtech77 suggested and just keep fueling like we always have.

No I understand it's a dumb system and with the reefer I'm not sure why they'd want to limit the amount you can get....seems keeping it full would be priority...what if you cant go for 2 hours in bad traffic across WY or something.....that reefer will gobble some fuel sitting around.....
