So much for food service guys getting paid better.

    They deserve it.

Not sure what our relationship is with Forward Air, but I have picked up 2 loads out of the Columbus area and taken them to Forward Air cross-dock terminals. The shippers(same company, different locations) had dozens of Shaffer trailers there, both empty and loaded, so they must do a big business with them. Hope it keeps up, light loads, good timing and drop/hook at both ends...who could complain about that (besides me ;))

Junk trucks, bottom of the barrel broker loads, 1400 miles a week average and one day off. None of which I was told would happen.

The final straw was when the wiring was so worn out that every time I hit a decent bump in the road the truck would shut down. Enough was enough.

Not sure what is going on at the Walmart DC in Seymour, IN. When I went by there yesterday, they had a couple dozen empty flatbeds in their drop lot. They looked fairly new, and were all lined up like they were just undecked. Either they're getting ready to haul open deck freight, or they're tearing down old racks and they need the open deck to sell off and move the old ones. (I saw them doing that at the Harrisonville DC)
