Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

She gave me a choice...they had a trailer for my load, but no dock...the trailer they had was an older spring ride, she said I could wait on that one to be loaded, or live load mine(which is a newer air-ride), once she had a dock. Since I am going to Gas City, IN, across some of the roughest roads south of Michigan...air-ride it is. On top of this snafu, they also requested a different temp from my load info.

 

Unfortunately, I have a sinking feeling in my inner regions that this kind of situation is gonna happen more and more given the labor shortage and the high freight demand right now. Guess we'll have to buckle up and enjoy the ride.

 

And your point is? Every year almost 500,000 people die in the US from tobacco related illnesses, but the job market doesn't suffer from it like now. Many of those Covid deaths were elderly, or those with an already weakened immune system...many of which weren't in the job market to begin with. This labor shortage is mostly caused by a disease known as Lazy-###...when lazy people can hold out their hand and collect more from unemployment than they can from working, they hold out both hands while sitting on their butt. It use to be you actually had to show proof that you were looking for work before you would be paid unemployment, now you just have to claim you did from the recliner in front of your bigscreen and the government just gives the cash. State governments are finally wising up and cutting benefits for those that can work.
