At least one positive about Creaffer's Freightliners, they don't buy them with those really low front bumpers that look like they'd drag on a speed bump.

Not always true...I have a lot of thoughts about what good things I would do with a recently discovered inheritance...that I haven't discovered yet

My Freightliner has the low bumper. My wife’s Nissan Sentra has more ground clearance.
I deliver to a REAL tight dock on Long Island that it drags on a pretty low curb that you have to get close to to get in the dock. I ripped the right side corner off of it after a few weeks... they put a new one on but I’m told them that it’s just a matter of time before I do it again... every time I scrap the curb it tears a plastic flange under there a little bit until it breaks off... lol
I’m not even hopping the curb... just twisting the tractor back under the trailer and the right corner passes over the curb. Can’t get in the door without doing it....

Ok, call me stupid...but I go to see my next ride today in the daylight, and since this is my 1st Cascadia... I am one of those old school stick in the mud, cb using truck drivers...where are the factory cb antennas, or even someplace to mount my own?

Those 2 black covers on the back wall are vent covers. Don't tell me I have to buy one of those aftermarket brackets that screw into the mirror mount screws, and then run my coax thru the door seal.

I think the megas order them with “integrated CB antenna” if they aren’t on the back of the cab. Supposedly the antenna is molded into the roof fiberglass on the inside.

So yes mirror mount it will be most likely

    Jarhed1964 Thanks this.

190C9795-B2DE-42D1-AFE7-AF7C7A5D8EC5.png You’ll need one of these to mount your own antenna...just remove the democrats from existing bolts from the mirror and use the bolts included here in their place and mount in mirror..

How do you get your chains out of the right side storage area? Drag em out from under the bed I guess. Cheap bastages...

What did with mine is mount a 5ft antenna on the right side of the airline crossbar. Antenna sticks up about 6” above the fairing on the top. Run the coax across to the right and down underneath. Came through the cab in the right side box. Radio works great with the long coax.
