Unload went fine, except the previous driver left about 2 walmart bags of pallet scraps in it. And some of the chunks are frozen in. Took the trailer to the Columbus yard to clean it out and give it a quick rinse since there aren't any truck washes within a decent deadhead (my next load loads off of I-670 in Columbus). But, the wonderful people in the shop won't even let you drag a hose out of the trailer inspection bay for just a quick rinse(of nothing but a bunch of dirt and some forklift/pallet jack tire crud where they have to spin on the -20 aluminium to unload, all the pallets chunks are in the dumpster)..they offered me a broom for a friggin reefer...half tempted to just leave it at the next customer since it seems to be how you do things here as a driver...leaving a customer a clean trailer isn't the Shaffer way appearantly.

Leaving trailers dirty seems to be common no matter the company. It’s lazy drivers that do it. Do you have a leaf blower? That’s what I use for reefers.

I use a leaf blower as well, but as all the ice and frost melted, everything was wet, so any dirt or rubber fragments stuck to the floor and the walls. I filled 3 gallon jugs and used 3 bottles of water just to rinse the back 1/3, the rest will just have to melt on it's own.

    nredfor88 and Lonesome Thank this.

I really didn't want to venture that far right now... giving a #### about this company isn't even on my bucket list anymore. I can't wait until next month when I will have earned a weeks paid vacation...

    Lonesome Thanks this.

My next load's location was fun to find. Something must be up with Lincoln's computer because I requested directions, but nothing appeared. And I kinda found them on my own (as I was driving by their road) but getting back to them was a round-a-bout PITA, they're near downtown across from the Columbus Convention Center. Found them, checked in, got my paperwork, dropped my empty, hooked up to my loaded trailer, sent in load info....then the Peoplenet took a dump again. Rebooted, went to roll, and then it decided to no longer work as an ELD....Rebooted again and it's working right again, but never got the reminder message about my lock or the virtual PTA bullcrap message, nothing...and I still hadn't gotten the directions to the shipper. Guess the rodent that runs on it's wheel that powers the Commadore 64 they use musta caught Covid and died and they can't buy a new rodent to run the system until it's wheel has been decontaminated.

SSB, can’t you just use google maps on your phone to find a customer? Expand it out and find a truck route if needed instead of using your bs Peoplenet? I deliver to a lot of job sites that my gps doesn’t recognize and it works perfect. Do a satellite view if necessary.
