This truck has had the idle update, but not the speed update. I haven't been caught in any kind of backup yet to see what it does, but it does hesitate before beeping and saying it's going into shutdown. The other trucks use to beep you with the 180 second countdown just as soon as you set your brakes. This one waits, then gives a generic engine shutdown msg, then changes it to a countdown timer...

This truck did something weird that I hope isn't a precursor to something going wrong. On my 34, it decided to do one of it's parked regens. It ramped up the rpms, started the DD15 regen shake, then my display screen started flashing between the warnings for the Adaptive Cruise and the other nanny collision avoidance warning (the one you get when you yank the fuses for the nanny crash ##### box, I forget what it exactly says). It did that the entire regen, along with that ba-bleep you get when you get a distance warning. Ba-bleep, flash-flash, ba-bleep flash-flash...for 15 or so minutes. Then it ramped down like normal and shut off. Then, when it warmed up in the cab, it went to restart like it should, but it cranked for 20-25 seconds before sputtering to a start and run, sorta like it lost fuel pressure. I hope this isn't a problem starting with either a main injector or the 7th injector going bad...I like this truck (mostly because it's a manual and it pulls way better than the other 2 Cascadias I have had)

So when it gets below zero,we can’t idle to get the truck warm before jumping in the driver seat?
    Gee thanks Crete!

That and the fact they don't let us buy fuel additive on our fuel card anymore...and with the winter that The Farmers Almanac and most of the on-air weather guessers are predicting...I might buy myself a propane camping heater so I can survive if I gel up because they trust the fuel vendors to put enough additive in where we fuel, which might be in short supply like many other items are right now.

If you ever load at Grimmway Farms then be prepared for a heavy af load.

45,380 lbs and I'm over by 200lbs on my steers. Tandems are also not set to the 40ft mark for California cause if they were ill be over on my drives as well.

Have 2 scales in Cali to make it through and hoping for no trouble.

It should be just a big pile of carrots in the middle of the trailer.

I'd be more concerned about the over length, iirc California charges $100 per 1000lbs you weigh on the tandems, but if you're at length, they charge $100 for every 1000lbs overweight you are. So if you're 34500, that's $50 vs $3400

Just a bunch of carrots in here. Have to pu a live right after so any trailer I pu here is going to be filthy and smell of carrot.

Was given a preplan to pu at another Grimmway facility in CA after I deliver this that goes 2800 miles to PA. Seems good but it also looks like another heavy load.

    dwells40 Thanks this.
