Saw this north of Memphis on US51 yesterday. It's not the clearest, but that's a pickup truck pulling a riding lawn mower down the road. He has some sort of apparatus picking up the front, but he's rolling it (kinda) on the back wheels. Didn't notice if it was a hydrostatic or shiftable transmission, but the tires on the mower were barely moving when he was rolling 35-40 mph....tires were smokin and squealing Screenshot_20211013-142755.png

Man, this shortage crap is getting old. Went to Wally in Effingham the other day, and they had a lot of empty spots on their shelves. Stopped in Hope, AR today to pick up the stuff the other one didn't have, and they were almost as bad. And the one thing I need the most, neither had. I am totally out of the elcheapo tubes of grease. I am one of those old school drivers who hates to see any shiney metal on my 5th wheel. I learned early on in my career that a slick 5th wheel was a must...with the amount of drop/hook loads we do here, I grease it more often. But neither had the cheap crap. All they had was the $5+ red super tackey stuff...I finally decided to buy another high dollar locking tupperware container and will have to go thru a shop more often and have it refilled...I ain't goin without grease, especially in winter with slick roads.

1st trailer you hook to most of the grease ends up on the ground. Not real bright.

Lucky you...not sure if mine is new enough to receive the update remotely.

My crash system is going flippin nuts all of a sudden. When I was coming down US 51 with this ice cream load the other day, it 'collision alerted' once for someone who had turned into a gas station and was completely off the road. 2 blocks later I had one of those idiots go from the left lane across in front of me and make a sudden right turn...but I had already anticipated her retardedness and was 99% in the left lane (with the nose of my truck aiming away from retardo) before the system went pshycho and gave me some type of message on the Peoplenet (something about hepatic brake and event recording). Then yesterday, on US59 right where it splits with another US route, they're doing construction. So the people wanting to go north on the other US route have to go south on US59 a mile or so, and they have a u-turn lane set up where the left lane u-turns and heads them north, and the right lane is US59 south...the radar picked up the cars sitting in the left lane waiting to u-turn and does the same collision warning with the hepatic brake event recording message. So it's not just out of adjustment, it seems to have widened it's focus to 3 lanes wide...plus, whomever programmed these things is a friggin moron. As I approach slower traffic, and I am starting to get into it's ##### zone...it waits for me to have already adjusted my speed to stay off their tail, and then they start to pull away and increase the distance between us...then it gives me the ######## distance warning...like no duh, I already saw the slower vehicles and backed off...I obviously saw them you stupid piece of crap...if I had a Louisville Slugger yesterday, I would have made a homerun adjustment to the unit...and then hope I didn't go thru a terminal until after my wife's surgery so they wouldn't fire me before she is fixed.

My system gives a lot of red screen warnings but never activates braking (thank God). But it is a tad sensitive to perceived hazards. More of an irritant than a danger, at least for now.

On big detention time pay, how long does it usually take Lincoln to pay? That load I had early last week should have been on this weeks pay...we're talking the maximum amount they pay...and I sent in the digital detention form like always prior to scanning in the load paperwork.
