I live within 10 mi of a Walmart DC and a Dollar General DC and I noticed a couple things over the past couple weeks. I see DG has an actual truck fleet now instead of just using an outside carrier. They have a yellow Dollar General logo'd sticker on the door, and Dollar General Logistics LLC. The other thing I saw is a Walmart logo'd sea(or rail) can behind a Walmart company truck the other day, so they're doing their own rail/sea transportation in their own equipment. I have heard a number of big retail companies are chartering their own ships out of Europe and Asia...I wonder how long before we see a Walmart logo on the side of ships.

    Speed_Drums Thanks this.

Walmart & Costco have leased out full ships to ensure capacity for their goods has been reported.

So has Home Depot. They have leased smaller ships so they can use ports that can’t handle those super sized ships to avoid the logjam

JoeyJunk, Lonesome, dwells40 and 2 others Thank this.

I've always scanned in a trip sheet. That's what I was told when I signed on 13 years ago. Maybe they don't do that anymore, but I still do.

From what I remember, I was told to just fill out a trip sheet if I delivered part of the load and scan in the bol for the part I did. For now on I'll just do a trip sheet to avoid any future issues.

Not sure how often the DEF filter is supposed to be changed, but somebody in the shop isn't doing their job.

well I just had my a service done so apparently that’s not part of it. I’ve noticed maintenance is very minimal here… especially trailers. 4/5 trailers I pickup need a t-1 service

Saw one last week in KC and thought the same thing!! I saw a Walmart truck pulling a flatbed too and I gotta say I’ve never seen that before either. The Walmart floral nursery is in Ottawa up the interstate from their merchandise DC, I’m guessing it had something to do with that. But that’s just a guess.
