This DT12 transmission has a serious dislike for 11th gear. I was coming thru the curvey section of the interstate east of the MT scales where 11th gear would be perfect for the amount of speed and jake to get thru there smoothly...but, the stupid box won't let it. Rolling along with just a little throttle, upshifts to 12th, force a downshift to 11th, then after a couple seconds, it downshifts to 10th...I upshift to 11th, a couple seconds later it upshifts to 12th. I fought this thing thru the entire section of road...I ####ING HATE THIS P.O.S. FREIGHTLINER. I would rather have a 10 yr old Prostar with the Maxxfarce than this truck with 21000 miles.

I downloaded a decibel meter from the playstore. The lane departure buzz (with my phone on the dash), 89 db. The distance warning (with it on the dash as well) 96 db.
And this is a result from a Google search
Decibel Level
Sounds at or below 70 dBA are generally considered safe. Any sound at or above 85 dBA is more likely to damage your hearing over time. Researchers have found that people who are exposed over long periods of time to noise levels at 85 dBA or higher are at a much greater risk for hearing loss
I see a workers comp claim in the making. Along with a civil lawsuit against Freightliner for making me deaf(er)Gearjammin' Penguin, Dale thompson, 650cat425 and 3 others Thank this. -

I drove by Poly in GP the other day and they still have 100 of the red corn binder cream puffs for you if you want to go back to them!
Dale thompson, Bumper and 650cat425 Thank this. -
Before you see me in a Poly truck again. I don't like jail, and if I worked there, sooner or later I would have words with Hyatt and then they'd have to replace an upstairs office window after I would test to see how many times it would take for me to throw him thru one.650cat425, hotrod1653, Dale thompson and 1 other person Thank this. -
I have a new nickname for my truck...she will be called:
My ex-wife Christine....because she is just like an ex-wife, nagging and screaming about me doing something I didn't do...and I feel like it's got an evil mind of it's own, hellbent on killing me, just like the car in the movie Christine.650cat425, dwells40, stuckinthemud and 3 others Thank this. -
I was just jacking with you. Didn’t figure you’d make that mistake again.
650cat425 Thanks this. -
@supersnackbar one of your coworkers was booming up I-49 north of Carthage, MO with their tandems all the way back and the tandem pin handle out. I tried hollering at him on the cb to no avail. And when I passed him I slowed up next to him and held my cb mic up and he just looked at me like he wanted to kill me. So if you hear of a set of tandems popped out from a trailer, I tried!
650cat425 and Speed_Drums Thank this. -
motocross25 Thanks this.
