They're talking about some nasty winter weather causing travel headaches just before the holiday next week.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

About 15 miles north of Florida on i75 I saw my first high speed chase today, I was south bound and they were going north. Looks like the person got away..

    Driver sought in multi-county chase

Well it looks like the 4 on 3 off is gonna pan out just fine for me in KC. I’ve been going through the application process and they called today and said my app was going thru the final check in safety and start thinking about when I want to come up to Lincoln for orientation. I wanted to thank everyone who helped answer my questions, especially @supersnackbar and @newbietrucker91 The recruiter was real helpful he explained the lanes I’d be running, every place he mentioned tho has a Crete terminal, so I almost wonder if this is gonna be like a Crete linehaul type deal or if I’m actually going to be dealing with customers. Guess I’ll find out. Thanks again to everyone! I’ll keep updating as things progress. I’ll do my best not to derail this thread with my own goings on. One thing I was curious I was supposed to get an email about health insurance info and didn’t. Now I don’t blame this on the recruiter my email is wonky. Does anyone know if it’s fairly cost efficient? It’ll be for me and a child dependent.

Stellar. She has as much range of motion now that a patient who is normally nearing the end of 6-8 week therapy schedule, but she is only half way thru her 8 weeks of therapy. The only issue the therapist says she needs to improve on is developing a normal gait. Her knee was so bad for so long that even when it wasn't killing her, she walked with a limp. Now that it's replaced, she has to relearn how to walk normal again. Around the house, she is actually walking some without a cane or any other type of support, which the therapist says, is way ahead of expectations.

I am paying less per month here for insurance, with a lower deductible, than I was paying when I worked at Wylie/Moore(On a Daseke companies group BCBS policy). I have heard drivers who have worked for larger mega's say this is expensive insurance, but it's probably the least expensive I have had in quite a while, and it's BCBS of Nebraska, not some Obamacare company plan like United healthcare, so it's openly accepted with a smile anywhere my wife or I have used it. (The wife just had major knee replacement surgery done, and so far, we haven't seen a bill over $500 for anything)

Since I came back out from vacation, they have been keeping me preplanned a day or more ahead. Currently headed to deliver in Palmyra PA tomorrow, then pick up in Hazleton PA going to Washington Courthouse for Saturday. Will end up over 3500 miles for this week, and starting off next week with a 500+ mile run. The only downside is that I am still doing overnighters, and killing my logbook and running recap sucks...but I am running steady, bouncing near my 70 every night. I'll have just enough time to deliver Saturday morning and get to a truckstop, so we shall see. The truck seems to be running fine, except my fuel mileage has dropped some since they turned it up, and since they fixed my DEF leak. It's winter, so I may have just been getting some winter blended fuel, which always makes you lose a little in the mpg department.

Massive trailer shortage in PA!!! Dropped my loaded trailer in Palmyra, no empties. Told to bobtail up to US Cold Storage in Hazelton and get one. None available there, then told to try another cold storage across the street from USCS...nope, and the shipper I am picking up at doesn't want us bobtailing in, so here I sit waiting on what to do, but it's looking like I'll either have to get a different load than the Washington Courthouse load, or have them reschedule because I just don't have the hours to run around doing a easter egg hunt looking for empties
