That's why I left Crete back then...had 2 Maxfarce corn binders... couldn't pass a shop without getting something fixed.

The worst news...mechanic said we could baby it to the T/A. Got here, and nobody has the part. And the main place that supplies the parts places has them on back order as well...so...I may be changing my address to Foristel for the short term.

Drop that trailer and head over to Mr Fuel. I think it’s much nicer than the TA. Also, there’s a hotel right across the street from it.

On a Tyson meat load...if Lincoln found out I unhooked from it, they wouldn't even rent me a car to get home after they terminated me.

And the 3 ring circus continues. Since it's a Tyson meat load, he said I need to call Risk Management, and have them check with Tyson...so I call Risk, they said they handle OSD claims, since this is a trailer breakdown, I need to speak to accidents to start a claim number just in case, so they transfer me over, accidents says, since I didn't hit anything (other than the wonderful Missouri off-road adventureland, a.k.a. I-70), I have to speak with some other department (couldn't understand who she said, but she transferred me), the other department (which was the right one finally) said they need to advise Tyson, and find out what they want to do...this is what I pictured when this whole call was going on

Now...they are talking about towing this trailer to a cold storage, having me run over to the other side of St. Louis, pick up another trailer, and have the load transferred...but, they don't understand

This is all the clearance I have...and no spring...plus, when they tow it, they hook an under-reach with a kingpin adapter to it, and pull it like my truck would be doing anyway. Maybe a tow truck can get away with towing it with those tires removed legally, but I have 33,200 on the tandems and 33100 on the drives. Not sure a single set of tires on one side could carry the entire load on that side for long. This is a true fuster-cluck moment. Shaffer might be handing out Tyson beef door prizes at this years Christmas party.

About all they can do is somehow wedge something between the axle and the trailer frame to boost it up. You are right, you don’t want to remove the tires or they will have a bigger problem.

Man. I’ve driven some junk, old as heck equipment (oilfield) and never saw that happen or anything like it.

You got my luck for sure. Thats why I said awhile back I’m pretty sure we are related.

You also have to wonder how many idiot drivers drove around pulling that trailer and noticed anything and didn’t care because typical I’ll leave it for the next person attitude… I think it’s time to start paying the drivers money that are dealing with these issues and the amount of money they pay the driver for having to deal with these issues they deduct the #### money from those drivers who neglected to say anything about the #### equipment… Because I am willing to bet more often than not drivers don’t report anything so how’s the company going to know about anything when the drivers don’t report it?
