Is anyone else seeing a bunch of double and triple posts? Or does my phone just need to be hit with a hammer?

@supersnackbar how goes the trailer saga?

I’m in Omaha tonight after the storm. Temp has dropped about 30 in 4hrs. 40 mph winds out of the north now.

It seems the forum has issues...seems a lot of double posts have been appearing from more than just me.

The 3 ring circus continued this morning. Last night I got a call from the Risk lady explaining the change of how things were gonna go with this load/trailer switch. She said while one of the tow company's truck was picking up the replacement trailer, the tow truck would come to my location and chain up my axle and then they would bring the empty to me, and the tow truck would haul the bad trailer and I would pull the empty to the cold storage that would transfer the load. Which made no sense because the location of the empty and the cold storage were 20 minutes apart...but, when the tow truck got to me, it was changed, that nobody bothered to tell me...the tow truck was not chaining the axle, he was lifting the trailer, putting in a big wood block, and securing it to the axle so it wouldn't drag the tires on the frame. Then he would follow me to the cold storage where he would remove the block, and I would meet the empty trailer there. But, the receiving lady had no clue about the load transfer...but her boss did. When the tow guy went to remove the wood block...it was missing, and he followed me the whole trip, and never saw it fall out. When the other trailer got there, we backed in and the transfer began. Now the fun part, the driver that brought the empty was suppose to take the broken trailer, and I was supposed to pull the good trailer with the load, however, nobody told the guy where to take the trailer. So I started with breakdown, who had no clue where he was to take the trailer. They transferred me to OSD, who had no clue, then I was transferred to someone else...who had no clue. At each new person I spoke to, I had to explain the whole deal...plus, I also had to get OSD to cut a check for the transfer. Once he was empty, his boss said to just bring the trailer to their yard until someone in Lincoln would make a decision where to take it.

When I spoke to the Risk Management lady yesterday, I mentioned to her twice that since we were transferring the load instead of fixing the trailer, she needed to msg breakdown and have them cancel the parts delivery. When I spoke to breakdown this morning, he knew nothing about calling or messaging the T/A. Then, after I was reloaded, on the way to deliver, I get a call from the T/A saying that my parts were delivered, and they just now found out that I left, and Crete changed plans about fixing the trailer... nobody messaged them. So, we drivers aren't the only ones kept in the dark. So, the company just paid to have a set of leaf springs go for a round trip ride because nobody communicates. They waste money left and right, but, they piss and moan about us idling a little too much to be comfortable...

Wow.. I gotta admit I was looking forward to this update. And it did not disappoint. Sorry you had to endure all the shenanigans, but on the upside it makes for interesting reading.

When I dropoed the trailer at the TN Tyson plant and went to hook to a trailer...an 839###, I plugged my pigtail in, threw on my marker lights and 4 ways...and only one side of the trailer turn signals worked(including the side signals). I tried to clean the plug (our pins are solid, so no spreading of the pins are possible). But, when I turned off the 4 ways, but turned on just the right signal, all the marker lights(including the tag light)and both the signal lights would blink. It was dark, and I was sick of dealing with breakdown issues (including the problem with the Peoplenet today that didn't resolve itself until I rebooted it, which was after I saw the message on my phone app about High Command taking shelter from the bad weather) and I was in no mood to rewire a trailer. So, I selected a different trailer, sent op's a message about the trailer swap, messaged breakdown about sending someone to rewire the trailer, and headed out towards my next load that picks up tomorrow headed to TX...please...just one week without an issue.
