Picked one up there myself a few weeks ago there wasn’t that many then. Also saw my previous company, Roehl, had like 200 brand new reefers waiting but their drivers hardly make it out of the Midwest.

I’m just not mechanically inclined at all. I hate it. No matter how hard I try to learn something or do something or follow an instructional video. Nothin. I have the mechanical sense of a walnut. To quote a Jerry Seinfeld bit. “If something not working and I look and don’t see a big “Off/On” switch switched to “off”, that’s about all I can do.”

They rotate them around to whatever shop you're not at, that's why it takes 'em so long to get you in.

Once again ladies and gentlemen, remember, when in W. Memphis, to drop your loaded trailers on the concrete pads

The wrecker was out here in less than an hour to rescue that sunken trailer...and I now know what a 'swamper' feels like (swamper-the guy who helps the wrecker operator). Helped the wrecker get secured and guided to a safe drop spot. There would be 3 or 4 more spots on the loaded side of this drop yard if people would learn how to park efficiently. Some trailers are taking up 2 spots. And there are 2 more loaded reefers dropped on the asphalt that the guy might be back out here picking up if the loads aren't being picked up soon.

Maybe it’s just because I’m a cheapskate but I can’t help but think of the money Craffer spends. I’m glad I don’t cut those checks I’d lose my mind. First your trailer leaf spring ordeal now a wrecker bill for getting a trailer literally out of the parking lot. The latter being avoidable if like you said the dropper would have just got it on the concrete. Sheesh.

The drivers have been warned about dropping the trailers on the Pads in that west Memphis yard… I’m pretty sure the driver who dropped it will be getting a phone call from somebody

Back to Cali for me. Got a load from JBS that 'should' be ready going to a city just south of San Francisco for a live. Load info says load early pu was on the 9th till today, so if this trailer was ready on the 9th it would be bone dry on fuel.

Not looking forward to the snow across i-80 into California.

They've had up to 8' of snow in the mountains around Donner, and a fatality crash involving a car and a plow in that area the other day. The next storm is due in monday night and tuesday...hope you live in western TX, otherwise you might not get to see Santa if it gets as bad with this storm as it did with the last one.
