Decided to just wait and run at night. Construction on i-80 west right now and Google showing almost 10 miles of red due to one lane traffic.
Going to head out and park at the pilot in Salinas, CA. Closes truck stop to the customer on the peoplenet. Will have to do a 8/2 split if I hope to deliver at 3pm Monday.
Hopefully regular dispatch can clear things up. Since I do have a deliver number and apt for that location, just no idea if what I got is going to that warehouse or to the one at the port, which is on the bills. Both run by same company and the port one I hear has a huge delay right now due to lack of shipping containers. Some drivers been waiting a few days past their apt time to deliver to that location.
Edit: seems to also be a smaller Mom n Pop truck stop in Gilroy called Garlic Farms that I might check out first. A tad closer, and has better reviews than the pilot.Last edited: Dec 19, 2021

Customer closed on weekends so no one has been able to get in contact with them.
Dispatch will have to get all this sorted out in the morning. Weekend simple tell me to follow peoplenet cause as far as they could tell the apt they set is good and to just try and see if they will unload me, even if bills don't match destination.tallguy66 Thanks this. -
Rule of thumb, always good to verify delivery number with customer ahead of time. Called and found non of my numbers worked. A quick call to operations solved that issue. Saved me the time it normally would of taken waiting at the gate holding others up.
Gearjammin' Penguin Thanks this. -

I am headed to pu in McDonough going to Orlando...and Butthead says this is NOT my get home load, but it delivers Wednesday, and Santa stops by on Saturday...not sure what else they can squeeze in. It is supposed to be a preloaded trailer, but the last time I was on this exact load, it started out as a drop/hook then, but turned into a live load because of a lack of empties. It was when I was trying to get home for the wife's surgery, and the shipper borked the load up and ended up taking forever getting it loaded and pretty much screwed us up (Shaffer). We shall see, not holding my breath...but either way, I WILL be home Saturday, job or no job...my patience is at an all time low...
On a odd note. When I was dropping at the Tyson warehouse in Macon, I ran into one of those drivers that makes you do a double take...and not for 'that' reason. While I was checking in at the guard shack, a female (or so I thought) K&B driver walked up to check in. It looked like an older woman, high heels, painted nails, makeup...but when 'she' talked, she had a deeper voice than I do...think a few notes highter than Barry White, with a southern drawl...it was a true 'WTF' moment.Itsbrokeagain, mdmgolfin, runningman0661 and 5 others Thank this. -
Load actual went well, but after spending days in the blizzard of Wyoming. I already forgotten how hot and humid it can be here.
Didn't realize we did 7/3 splits. Was waiting for that 8 hour and then when I got hours back I saw it did it at the 7th hour mark. -
