High dollar Junk-liners. I say picking up a 'repaired' truck from a dealer and it doesn't last 1 load = low quality...and this is because your 'repaired' truck lasted what, a week or 10 days. When I was in school for I.T., there was a saying...GIGO, Garbage In, Garbage Out

Guess what..my last truck was peterbilt and it was the biggest pos on earth..frankly the quality of all the vehicles today are garbage I don’t care what brand name is on it…this what people get when they want quantity over quality and want their products fast.

Freightliner has never made a 'quality' fleet truck. In fact, based on my last 14 months driving Cascadias, I am starting to believe a Cummins powered Cornbinder might be superior to these Junk-liners...

The 2015 and 16 cascadias i had never saw the shop…it’s the luck of draw so so to speak…but in general products made today are the cheapest pos on earth..nothing last like it used to..no matter what it is..pathetic in my opinion.

My 2020 F/L 176000 miles and running strong.
Wonder if it’s possible to make it all the way to 450000+- with same driver?

2020 Cascadia, 130k, no issues after finding a loose battery connection when I first got it new.
Previous truck, an 18 Cascadia, was great and trouble-free until I got t-boned in Phoenix.

Be very careful, Karma is subscribed to this thread

2021 Cascasia, at 37,000 miles I had 23 engine, emission and transmission codes (active and stored). 2019 Cascadia had 4 or 5 engine codes, endless issues with the front collision radar blowing fuses (until I stopped replacing them), along with a transmission that missed gears or hung in gear, along with shifter stick electronic issues, a carrier bearing replaced by 200k...oh, and the opti idle comfort mode couldn't make up it's mind, it would either go on a/c mode, a/c mode then heat mode, only heat mode(in the summer) or both modes at once. My current 2020 around 250k I had a wheel seal go, a DEF filter completely plug and blow the filter cap off, blowing DEF all over the place(improper maintenance, not a defect), and I currently have a serious stutter when I go to throttle off from a dead stop (but pulls fine once it gets rolling), and a throttle that likes to sloooowly back off when you're tring to float to the next gear ...plus the throw out bearing has sounded weird since I got it,(but that could be previous driver abuse...or a lack of lubrication since they only lube it every 37000 miles now).

Pick up for my next load took forever. So called pre-load turned live that took 6 hours. Then I had to pc over 30 miles through Portland that was nothing but bumper to bumper traffic.

Managed to get some zzzs in at the shipper and now sitting at this TA to get some food before the grind. 1800 miles to go and only 14 hours on my 70 with no hours coming back for 2 more days. They sure been running me hard as of late.

I've been lucky lately. Most of my preloaded trailers have been ready ahead of time, and my live load or unloads haven't taken all that long. Heck, that rinky dink Dollar General frozen warehouse in Orlando had me unloaded and rolling just a little over an hour past my appointment, I'm just not turning oodles of miles each week, but at the rate they're paying, I don't have to run my pecker into the dirt to pay my bills.

Dropped my load in Murfreesboro this afternoon (later than I planned, but still on time) then picked up a preloaded trailer from another customer in Murfreesboro headed for a Monday morning Plant City delivery...so I will be home tomorrow and leave out Sunday afternoon and park at the receiver.
