I got Crete's profit sharing contribution when I left them the last time, that was it...and no, I don't contribute to any 401k's. There is no point, I will be dead and in Hell before I am retirement age-simply based on my family heritage. Only 2 people lived beyond 63-65, and my dad was one, but died 6 months after taking full retirement.

And if you've followed my adventures a while, you should be fully aware of my feelings towards local, ltl, line haul or even 'thru the house' regional...so I won't beat that dead horse again.

it wasn't until @drvrtech77 posted that view of the customer that I realized I had been there, just once. They had me check in around back, but then had me go all the way back around front to unload because they were short of available doors out back. I read the same reviews...but I was in and out in only a few hours, but there were a bunch of drivers already at the doors when I backed in that were still there when I left, so I got lucky and had the right product (not sure what it was, it was early last summer, all I remember was the thunder storm and the deluge that hit right after I got back in the truck after I turned in my paperwork).

Well, I paid the price for my bragging attitude about the traffic on Christmas Eve. Today, when I left home (I live 10 min from the interstate) it took me right at 4 hours to get from my house north of Gainesville, FL to C&S Wholesale in Plant City. 161 miles according to my Nag-a-Gator. From the time I got on the interstate thru Gainesville, it was stop and go traffic. Then, just past the Petro exit north of Ocala, all the way to the FL turnpike it was stop, more stop, then go a few feet and stop again. Worse traffic than any Atlanta or McDonough rush hour I have been in lately. Someone said there was a bad wreck between Ocala and the turnpike, but by the time I got to where it was, it was cleaned up and gone. Made it to the customer, mostly because my next load after I deliver doesn't pick up until 15:00 in Orlando, so I need to delay starting the ole' 14 for as long as possible. This load doesn't deliver until 0800, so if I can hold off, I may be able to get out of FL before my day is up.

Was looking on my weather app and I made it out of the West just in time. I-80 closed again due to the snow storm rolling in.

It's decent enough for me, you would say that it's just another krap company, because it doesn't come close to what you do. Having a goal, like working where you do, will always give me something to strive for. And I already answered your question days ago. You must have been making quad time and a half, to sit at home watching the View, and missed it.

And the junk equipment problems never end. Kept smelling diesel every time I got out of my truck...I finally discovered an air bleeder valve on the 3 year old reefer with a moderate drip...all over the front of the engine, on the bottom pan and all over the frame of my truck. Breakdown called all the dealers in the Tampa and Orlando area, and all the ####ers are closed until tomorrow. So now I head for Deland to drop this piece of ####...HOW THE #### DOES THIS PLACE STAY IN BUSINESS WITH ALL THIS JUNK. I can't get one load without some sort of equipment issue.

Its easy. They have 1000s of loads on junk trailers. Drop one, take one.

I usually just have light issues on trailers. Last trailer I had had an issue where the right turn signal would not come on. Wiggle the connector a little and it would work, until you started driving again.

On another note, I miss the long loads of the West already. Next load is a drop-n-hook both ends but just 300 miles. Picking up at us cold storage just on the outskirts of Chicago and taking it to a small place built into the side of big hill in Missouri. Gateway refrigerated for those who might of been there.

I've delivered to those caves in Missouri. A learning experience.
