When I was waiting on repairs for that KW in Orlando, breakdown said try to keep it under $100 if you can, but since I was in a tourist trap town during the summer, they said they'd understand if I went over.

    Where was the shop?

I mean if they towed the truck the trailer to joliet, there's a freightliner dealer in Shorewood. I have a hard time thinking that hotels in the area would be more than $150.

If they towed the truck all the way back into Cook County for repairs then your breakdown department is dumber than mine.

They ended up sending 2 full size wreckers. One for me and another for the trailer. I was sent just 5 miles down the road to a freightliner/western star dealer. Got me a room at the Marriott 1.2 miles away that was just at $130/night but don't know how long my stay will be.

Paid upfront for 2 days and will talk with my terminal in the morning about getting reimbursed.

That makes more sense. Not a lot of options nearby. There were a couple back in the early 2000s, one got shut down for being tied to sex trafficking and one was owned by a small scale Bernie Maddoff. No real demand in the immediate are.

Don’t mention a 34 to home terminal. They do everything in their power to not pay breakdown pay. I’m curious though, did you try using the battery disconnect as a long shot to get the truck going?

And the Operations f-tards strike again...wrong address, wrong customer name and they never rescheduled the delivery...this is twice in the last couple months. Never in my career have I ever encountered such incompetence...these people make Big G's operations department look like Mensa candidates...
