Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

From earlier when I hit a wall of traffic due to accident.

Made my way to the customer..barely and saw multiple trucks in the ditch on my way up. One truck jacknifed so hard it flipped the whole truck and cab facing the opposite way of traffic.

This was a divided highway with the opposite traffic behind a wall of trees so unless he was driving the wrong way and flipped, I don't know how he did a 180.

On another note I had dispatch cancel that fish load. Weather still very bad and I don't want to run anymore today. Have no other preplan and will now need to find a place to park somewhere in the greater Boston area.

There are plenty of negative things about Heartland, but when I worked for them 7 years ago, their maintenance program was almost too much. I left Crete because at the time Heartland paid more and had the absolute top safety rating. Many times when I went in for service, they would put on new tires even when the old ones were perfectly legal.

 

Having to t call in pasco because originally the plan tcall in pacific wa is nonlonger a viable option this week…there is no access to Seattle area from ih5 or ih90 for the next several days…both hwys are closed until further notice

 

I was 30 miles down i95, on my way to a TA when they sent me a new preplan. 2300 live pick up at a bakery in Manchester going to an Americold in TN. Quickly had to exit and begin heading back up to get as close as I can to the customer. Currently parked at the welcome center up here cause no other parking options at all.

Wonder if they still know I have to pick up my old truck or some unlucky guy going to break down in Chicago and get it as his loaner, full of old clothe and bedsheets.
