The place runs two shifts - 7-1500 & 1500 -2300. When CS reps set up the customer profile, they generally subtract an hour from closing time. If they show open until 2300, a driver will show up at 2252 and expect to get unloaded.
In this particular case, when asked the customer said they stop receiving 2 hours before they close because they want to make sure they can get the truck unloaded without running into overtime.

Facepalming so hard I spent 45 minutes in the wrong door. Driver next to me knew exactly what happened when I stepped out of the truck to look at the numbers on top of the docks..
Being entered from the rear within 5 minutes at the right dockBumper and Speed_Drums Thank this. -
Can't catch a break. Didn't get 40 miles with this new load before the reefer died. Rather than head back to the shipper I'm to take it to a carrier repair yard 130 miles away.
Product is fish and has to be maintained at -10. Was already -5 by the time I got done with breakdown.
Just going to barge into the Carrier office and tell them to start working on this trailer immediately or it's going to start smelling like a lot lizards lower parts.RussianBearTruckeR, wulfman75, mdmgolfin and 4 others Thank this. -
Did you try clearing the alarm and letting it fire back up?
-
Yah, they even tried remote reboot. Says voltage to low, and since it's been running fine on continuous last few hours, I'll say alternator is bad.
Speed_Drums and ncmickey Thank this. -

Was in fact the alternator as well as the battery was starting to go bad and not hold a charge. Still took 3 hours to get out of there.
Load was originally to be tcalled at our NC terminal since bills say to deliver on the 18th but now customer says they will take it when ever I get here so I'm to complete the whole trip.
Next preplan has me heading all the way up to Maine. I'm starting to see a pattern here. My old dispatcher kept me out West and never sent me to the East while my new one seems to do the opposite and keep me out East with nothing heading West. -
