Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

I’ve already got ice on the back of my trailer. I’m going up us 61 towards Iowa. But I’m camped out at the j in warrenton. Us 61 is already getting hit.

 

Dallas - Here we go again...

 

I'm on a load from Zanesville OH to Kankakee that delivers tomorrow, then pickup in Joliet to Dallas for Saturday. I'm gonna be in this #### the whole way I think. And the Dallas ld is my ld home...lol hopeful this is cleared out of Dallas by saturday...

 

We had a bunch of loads cancel because of the expected ice storms in Kentucky and Michigan so my boss sent me home yesterday. I did not complain about five days off and loaded up my stuff and got the heck out of there while it was still dry! Heading back up on Sunday afternoon. Hopefully it will be done by then.

 

I’m running home to wait out the storms too, already seeing road closures around Bloomington IL…

 

Just recently Cardinal has begun having us submit photos of our Bills too. Our handheld Zebra units have a built in camera so its an easy operation. So far no one has complained about my photographic skills or lack there of.....

Im probably the one around who could care less about the camera in his cell phone.

 

I think its a glitch..ive gotten them too and the last one they sent was a trip number that was my truck # and I responded and never got a response..lol

 

It will be gone by then. Moving in this afternoon into the evening. Snow tomorrow but back above freezing by Friday afternoon.
