Once upon a time, Shaffer tried testing out speed wings on our trailers. Apparently, they didn't like them. However, instead of professionally removing the entire kit, they only cut the support wires and removed ONLY the wings, leaving the wall mounts in place.

tried reporting it to risk mgmt and they had no idea what these were so transferred me yo breakdown, where I was fed the tail of woe and told to "drive on MacDuff"

    Just boggles the mind... 20220204_161617.jpg 20220204_161559.jpg 20220204_161556.jpg 20220204_161530.jpg 20220204_161530.jpg .

Made it to Amarillo. So far the roads have been clear and dry, but they must've been bad. Around Santa Rosa, it looked like a truck junk yard. West of the city, in the east bound lanes, there were 2 trucks off the road, almost like a Knight wanted to try to use a goat path, and another truck followed him, too close and wrecked. Then, what was left of a reefer trailer was on the shoulder. On the west bound side, a reefer trailer (no tractor) with the front wall and reefer unit hanging by a the top z-rail and another truck and trailer with no hood. On the east side of town, there was a trailer in the median with some damage, all alone, and another truck and trailer from the same company sitting beside it, and they were unloading one of those long reach off-road forklifts to move the freight from one trailer to another. Looks like it was 18-wheel ice follies.

I'm guessing the reefers were based out of Fresno or Bakersfield being pulled by tractors with curtains hanging at the top of the windshield?
