I’d give D. Mosley trucking out of Lawtey a look. I guess they go by DMT now. Don’t know what they pay, but they run flatbeds and used to have nice trucks

Moore use to do the same thing...watch a video online, take a test. But what truck driver out here can't release the 5th wheel, even with the air release button they want us to use. It's embarrassing if someone outside the company stumbles on the Crete YouTube channel and sees that we have to be taught how to release it. It's belittling that they feel they have to go that basic in telling us how to do our job.

I hauled glass for Moore Freight(that got merged with Wylie). Dedicated is o.k. except if is something like glass, which was a very narrow freight base, and when it slowed down, it was dead. A lot of dedicated doesn't pay as much most of the time unless you get lucky and get in with the right company.

Lol yeah our video reminded us to walk around the truck on breaks and check our loads and our vehicles…like I said they were trying to keep the insurance folks happy.

I would say that's the case here, except, Acklie is the insurance company unless it's a catastrophic claim like when that Crete driver killed those kids 20 yrs ago when he pushed the mini-van into that school bus.

    Lonesome and Winnyf1 Thank this.

My take is when you have as many drivers as you guys do, there are going to be some that slip through the cracks that lack basic knowledge that they should already have. Those type of videos are for them. Obviously they don’t apply to you or most drivers, but guaranteed they will help some (if they help themselves by finding them).

There is a lot of noise in this world, just ignore what is static to you.

Someone had their handle pulled didn't do proper pretrip pulled out and a crash occurred behind them...heard there were 2 dryvan accordions tops at Lincoln a few days ago drivers not paying attention to the bridge clearances...also heard many c r England drivers coming aboard...

I have a question on our company website if you look at any states otr division they advertise the top pay is exactly the same across the board, I know puffin get .03 cpm over for our fancy scarfs but why would they advertise like that? Wouldn't former reefer drivers looking to continue be discouraged by this and think how come thr dry sides getting the same but we have more work and hours to give up due to the nature of reefer plus the reefer we're responsible for 24 7 if it craps out? Not sure why they have it advertised like it?
