Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

Well I was gonna pull a load from Cedar Rapids to Murfreesboro. But, while sitting at the dock waiting to be live loaded, I get a message from Lincoln asking if I could be in N. Platte by midnite tomorrow instead. I guess this A/M's driver was gonna be a little short on hours headed to N Platte, so now I am swapping loads and headed to N. Platte (away from this next storm)

 

Not really, it's coming up from the AR/OK/TX area headed northeast. When I was planning my route to Murfreesboro, Bloomington and Champagne IL were suppose to only get 1-3" starting tomorrow afternoon, and Indy was only gonna get snow showers with little or no accumulation. St. Louis is already under a winter storm warning until midnite tomorrow night.

I'm in Cedar Falls and it's 15°. I had to 'assist' mine into starting today. It's been doing the 'third times the charm' since before hometime(tries to fire up and fails twice, but gets it's act together on the 3rd try), but today it decided to give me problems, and it's gonna be 1 tonight here and -5 in N. Platte tomorrow night. I may stop at Wally and get me a camping propane heater in case I ever get to the point where it waits until there is no motel around before it refuses to run for good.
