Only thing I know is Walmart, unless your hauling a load of hot new items for the Lion's Den across the interstate...

Like now, this is what the app shows for my location...and I am sitting on the porcelain reading chair...in the shower room of the Brazil Pilot. I tried restarting the app all the way across the parking lot and into the building so I could get a shower code without having to scan the app barcode at a register, and it keeps saying I am .4 miles away

I had an SSB moment yesterday.

I have an emergency side hose leaking at the connection to the brake chamber. I wrote it up in the computer and it never got fixed. Gee, imagine that.

My truck has one of those digital dashboards and at roughly 10:30 AM it locked up, so basically none of the gauges would read anything. The speedometer would read 52 mph while sitting still. Everything still worked, but nothing displayed, so I had to pretty much run almost my entire route while driving by feel. Fortunately that problem somehow corrected itself later. Horray for technology!!

At 7:30 after I parked I was entering my post trip in the computer, and found that my leaking brake line was somehow fixed at 8:30 that morning. Now how did that happen when at 8:30 I was a hundred miles away?o_O

Simple. That’s called “the shop foreman is falsifying reports”, and that’s why phone calls up the chain of command get made. :biggrin_25516:

One day, all I ask is one day without some sort of issue. Delivered my load in Greenfield, and went to pick up my preplan load in Indy, and the guard at the guard shack doesn't have any paperwork for Shaffer. Load was supposed to be preloaded and ready after 2300 last night, needing picked up before noon today. Got here at 10:45, and no paperwork. So, now I sit, waiting on the weekend braintrust in Lincoln to figure out what is going on...honestly, I may just go park my butt at the truckstop and say F-it until Monday.

Load voided, headed for the Flying J in Indy...free spots full at 11:30 am. And I don't think I have ever seen so many bobtails. They had the bobtail lot full and a bunch of the regular parking spots were double stacked. Said to heck with it and headed to the Indy yard. Where we are located, I am glad FedEx pilots don't crash as often as FedEx truck drivers.

Dropped my load off no problem today.

2 preplans came in, and after looking at them, it seems they want to run me balls to the wall right now.

First load picks up at Coldpoint in Kansas city which is a 'preload' tomorrow anytime after 8am. It's headed up to Wisconsin to drop on 21th anytime. 660 mi run, not bad.

The 2nd load is to pick up 50 miles away from drop for a 3pm live on the 21th and run it down to Unilever in Covington, TN for drop anytime on the 22nd. 680 mile run. Good chance, if there is ice cream sitting next door I'll be sent to pick it up.

Have to decide to either stay up and swap my sleep to morning shift to run these loads somewhat smoothly or run nights and have no room for delays.
