Why do you guys think snackbar would be happy at any company? Really. Being owner op and calling all the shots is probably the only way to slow down his biotching.

    Geekonthestreet and gentleroger Thank this.

Just trying to help, call him what you will but he seems like a solid employee that actually gives 2 craps about the direction this industry, and the company in particular is going. The perfect company might be a pipe dream, but maybe it’s not, one thing is obvious, the Crete family of companies is perfection for him.

I loved working at Moore up until the time Daseke merged us with Wylie. And I also loved Silver Eagle before Arnold Logistics blended all their companies under the Arnold Transportation name. In fact, the last few years I was with Arnold I was an O/O. Being an O/O leased to a company like Crete or Arnold doesn't pay enough. I probably have a higher adjusted gross income than some of the O/O's here. And leasing to companies like Landstar or Mercer pays great now, but in a recession like the one that's coming makes paying for all the truck expenses difficult without dipping into the savings more often than you should have to, plus health insurance as an O/O isn't cheap when you aren't tied to a larger company's plan like a company driver...and I refuse to use Obamacare. So being an O/O is never gonna be an option for me ever again. Especially with todays modern emissions trucks. Repairing any part of the engine or emissions system can wipe out a lot of hard work and savings.

What about Van Eerden? They run a ton of Florida, run coast to coast stuff, have nice trucks, little to no nonsense it seems. They make just as good or better money than Creaffer.

I saw a company with Florida tags the other day. I believe it was TELS but I could be wrong. Might be something to look into

They use to be a team only company, but I recently saw an ad from them on indeed for solo drivers. Hadn't done much investigating into them since they use to be team only

They definitely run Solo’s now. Almost went there a couple years ago. They’d be my first choice if I were to go OTR again.

The math doesn’t add up. Someone is blowing smoke.

    144,000x.65 = $93,600

Their solo drivers are not making .65 CPM.
So it comes down to the other things that really don’t count. Things that you can’t pay your bills with. Like it’s advertised, “total compensation”
