Schneider has been pulling Yellow doubles for a few years. Quite sure they aren’t being paid the Union wages.
Knight started a container division late last year.

Knight has been running containers out of Phoenix to the port of Long Beach for several years probably at least 10 years that I know of…

Schneider still can't keep drivers on their tanker fleet. I've kept getting updates and for the last 6 months they never dropped their 12k hire on bonus.

I worked for them twice and have noticed the decline in what they do.

Schneider bulk’s office staff can’t keep the tankers rolling enough to keep drivers. They also don’t pay extra for hazmat loads… don’t give noobs a list of equipment they need (which is lol 30+ parts). And they pay less than van. I mean they basically pay those ecolab guys Schneider OTR wages and make them sit all day.

It’s retarded. Anyone with any sense immediately leaves for higher pay or simply moves to more lucrative van accounts. When I was there I told a higher up what the competitors were paying and he just said “must be a lie. You can’t trust those other companies.” You know it could be worse. Snackbar could be stuck at Schneider Bulk as a trainer and we’d all be REALLY entertained.

Snackbar delivering chemicals is easy! I’d consider his offer. Low wait times if you do hazmat. And depending on the market they basically HAVE to take you. Ain’t like reefer at all.

    Bumper Thanks this.

It's not the pickup or delivery I have issues with. It's driving a tanker around the traveling morons that populate our roads today. Along with the fact that I would basically be a total newbie starting at the lowest possible pay rate. The pay that was posted is for an experienced tanker yanker, not someone just coming into that type of trucking. It would take years before I get to a pay rate comparable to what I make now...plus, tanker isn't a type of trucking that really interests me, just not my cup-o-tea.

After getting unloaded yesterday, then making it to my next pickup, I had used a bunch of my 14 and had to shut down further away from the delivery than I wanted to. The delivery was a Walmart DC, still 9ish hours away, had a 19:30 live unload appointment and in the middle of nowhere with no place to park within an hour drive, I told dispatch to reschedule. The reviews on this DC are all over the place in regards to unload time, and I'll be ###### if I am gonna risk going into violation on my 14 if they take too much time unloading that late in the day and I have insufficient time to hunt the elusive parking spot. I am not gonna risk it because some yutz of a planner waits until the last minute to change plans, and basically forced me to take a plan I said no to. Now, I could have been as big of a 'Richard' as he was and wait until an hour or two before my appointment to tell them I wouldn't make OTD, but I didn't...I told them before I even started my day that I needed a different appointment or a T-call. We shall see, but I am at my patience limit with this Big G doppelganger of a company
