Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

Yeah, it's Resers in Halifax. I picked up at the Don Pancho next door just before Thanksgiving.

 

Got the load of bananas unloaded without a hitch this morning. Then proceeded to the truck wash near my shipper, had all the banana juice washed out...but noticed the chute was all torn in the front, and half of it was hanging down from the roof, so I had to swap empties, and breakdown is sending a service truck to repair it at a later date since there was no way they could get it fixed before my load time.

Shipper loaded me early, and I made it all the way to Jerome before shutting down. Will be able to make it within 150 miles of the delivery by Saturday, then do a 34 before I deliver on Monday.

Truck is doing something new. Coming thru Boise, I lost all ability to force an upshift or downshift, but, on a positive, I also lost E-coast. I thought I had also lost the nanny collision camera, but I found out later it still works. I have some sort of fault message about the terrain following drivetrain controller module having a checksum error.

By the way, if your crossing Idaho, there is a newer truckstop I found in Jerome called Mr. Gas. I-84 exit 165. Big paved lot, chicken in the deli, and there is a Mexican restaurant here someplace.

 

I haven't been there in years.

 

This was reset on New Years eve before shutting down and going to bed. So, I did this in 8 days (really 6.5 days considering I did a 34 in Henderson after I got there on New Years day). Now if I could get this #### truck's nanny system problems sorted out, I would be content with my job for a change.

 

That's about as close as I care to cut it.(in 7 days, not 8)

 

I was thinking about stopping at the Petro 7 miles down the road since that's my fuel stop, but if the light at the end of the ramp turned red, I would have exceeded my 70. It was actually closer than I planned because of a fatality crash in Winston-Salem that closed the highway and ramp you loop around on to get to biz-40. Besides, other than the fuel island deli and Dunkin, there is nothing to eat at the Petro until the IHOP gets opened.
