Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

No thanks. Not wreckless enough to move mail. Before Amazon and Swift, the 3 most wreckless and discourteous drivers out there were Mail contractors, UPS and FedWrecks. Besides, mail is like air freight, wait around all day for your load to get loaded, then have to drive the wheels off of it to make up the schedule time lost.

 

Things are definitely slowing down some. Got to my delivery at Hershey's in Edwardsville, and I was the second truck in line at the gate. Grabbed an empty, and headed to my preplan out of Unilever-Edwardsville, and was the 2nd one in the gate there, and.. they're running behind. My load was supposed to be ready at 0900, got there at 10:15 and dropped my trailer. Gate told me to bobtail out and check back in a couple hours. Get to the J...and had to hunt a parking spot in the bobtail lot.

 

This has to be the most disorganized company of my career. When I got to the J to wait for my load to be loaded. I sent Ops a message telling them that load wasn't ready, and that I wouldn't be available at the time I sent when I accepted the preplan (like they look at PTA's anyway). And that unless they were really really behind, OTD wouldn't be affected. When they said that I can update my PTA on the load call, I said 10.4, just letting Ops know so I don't get a preplan based on the old PTA....15-20 min later, I get a preplan that picks up...based off the old PTA...WHY DO I F'G BOTHER SAYING ANYTHING TO THESE MORONS.

 

The more I get #### like this, the more I want to retire and let the company start training chimpanzees to drive their trucks...they'd save a bunch of money on pay... bananas are cheaper than handing out cash...plus, they could fit 3 or 4 chimps in one of these trucks and it could run 24/7/365.

 

When I said no to that preplan, I put my PTA as 12/31/22 @ 23:59...they took me off of that. 10 min later they send me another preplan. T-Call this load in Indy(it's going to Seymour, IN)...pick up a load off the yard to the same place I delivered to in VA, the day before yesterday...that is proof to me that they don't pay any attention to PTA's.

Oh wait, I just looked again...they have me delivering this load, deadheading to Indy, picking up and T'calling that load to VA in Indy...WTF people...get your head out of your ###.

 

Like I told my wife when I messaged her about this. I can excuse ignorance, but I can't tolerate stupidity. They had to have some intelligence to get hired, so they're just not using their brain...which I consider it to be stupidity...and people wonder why I get so aggravated all the time...I am sorry, stupidiy pisses me off
