This is the camera we had at WyMoore. Always on and recording when brakes released and would record if hit hard enough in a parking lot, plus it has a manual trigger in the event it didn't automatically trigger an event.

Here’s our new set up. They replaced all the inward facing cameras that were on constantly when they did an internal study and found out how many drivers they were loosing and how many refused to come onboard because of them.

This new set up is strictly a dashcam. The box with the green button is to be pressed in the event something happens. B970C5C4-832B-4C72-815E-90CDEC4175AC.jpeg 1FF11E8A-9AAF-41B0-A0D6-D07478A9F2AA.jpeg

Pic unclear. Is that a driver facing camera? And what kind of truck? Doesn't look like my Crapcadia.

Un real! Last company I worked at the truck had a nasty vibration. Took it to shop and owners son said don't worry about it. Run it till it dies. 78mph coming up on the 226 mm on Pa pike. Boooooom, truck lifts off ground and I look behind me and see drive shaft rolling down the highway. Called the shop and they said Oh well. we will bring you another. Old beat up Century shows up on hook. Broken windshield and no city horn.

Thanks. I can deal with a forward cam. I run 2 myself plus this Detroit Assurance with the plastic cam case that blocks half the windshield. I'll be happy if/when they dump this crap 16507342659997668215223728651042.jpg

Unload went good, washout was quick and on our account, so no cash receipt to worry about. Got to the shipper way early, but the load was ready. Then, I got the "trailer unavailable" message, I confirmed the trailer number with the weekend dispatch crew, and it was fixed in only a few minutes (BH2.0 would have still been working on it). Managed to make it all the way south of Indy before my 14 was up. So now it's a reasonable day tomorrow and then drop 1st thing Monday.

Oh, BTW, at the Eggo plant in Grand Rapids,(the one they say must have washout receipt)...until today, I have never been asked...but this morning

I was driving a rental International daycab a few months ago, and it started shaking badly going down the road. Thought I lost a recap on a tire, stopped on the side, all looked good. Took off again, still shaking, pulled over, saw the bracket holding the U joint on the driveshaft had lost a couple of bolts, and it was about ready to drop. Called the boss, and told him I needed a hook, can't drive it any further.
He got half ticked off, that I couldn't "nurse" it up to our warehouse, about 30 miles away. That I wouldn't at least attempt to make it there.

But if you nursed it and it threw the driveshaft and it caused a wreck or damaged someone else's vehicle, it would have cost much more than a tow bill that short of a distance. I'da told him to hop in his car and come down and you'd drive his car back and he could nurse it in.
