Kroger unloading me.

Thankfully this unload is happening in the early morning. Like this Kroger cause they always take me in before appointment. Reefer showed temp at 66 and temp requested is 58. Bananas also has a temp monitor so don't know how far from temp till it's deemed no good. If this was an afternoon delivery then good chance it would be in the upper 70s if not 80s inside.

They had me drop at our West Memphis yard and grab a new trailer. To my surprise there were 5 empties all clean and at 3/4 or full. Grabbed one and going to run it for an hour to make sure it works before I drop at Butterball later today. Need to see if the office staff have a red tag I can put on the dead trailer.

 

Hey Shaffer guys. I left Shaffer awhile ago and am thinking about coming back to join the Unilever dedicated team. Does Unilever require washouts, or are they satisfied with just having a clean trailer? I seem to recall that they will take any trailer that is clean, but am not sure. I'm asking since I like running over night, and washouts will not be possible in some of the areas where they are located in NC, PA, SC, etc.

 

Saw a msg that evening dispatch is going to be more understaffed than usual. Good luck to anyone who needs a pickup number or delv number. Might have to just park and wait till morning.

 

Be careful with kroger Shelbyville in they will hold u hostage best to avoid boycott customers that don't respect our time and when they exploit it don't even give us a place to do a 10 especially when they have the actual space

 

This load starting off bad already. Preload I picked up tandems won't slide. All the pins are physically in but when I back up all I end up doing is dragging the trailer. It moved half a hole at best and now I'm just sitting here.

Also can't get trailer on me cause the trailer I picked up is somehow assigned to another preload? Got a msg saying bad trailer preload and of course no response from dispatch do to them being short staffed. Had to physically tell the trailer to breakdown since it doesn't show as on me In the system.

Doesn't help that I also don't have the hours to do this load. 450 miles away and only 6.5 hours left on my 70 till the 18th and it was suppose to deliver on the 17th.

Breakdown making some calls to see if anyone can come out and help fix my trailer cause closes TA/Peteo is after a weight station and I'm not risking getting put OOS at a scale. Will be awhile since I'm in rural Arkansas

 

Assuming tandems are all the way back, find a curb, back up twoards it and pop the brakes just as the tires hit the curb. That will usually shock it free.

What happens is the tandem rails aren't shimmed properly so they don't remain perfectly parallel and everything gets squeezed in (Great Dane has a huge recall for an entire production run).

If it has air release pins, just put the tires against the curb.

 

Have a question: was loaded doing 68 in a 20 FL I see a blue puffin KW in the hammer down lane in my driver's side mirror... I'm steady 68, he's creeping up I look at the hood numbers and see it's 5... hmm, not a OO wtf is going on here... I look again and see a building of 4 wheelers so I get on the Jake's and wave him in...he was steadily doing 70? I had a new KW briefly, electrical failures will only stick to freightliners (get it mechanically worked on anywhere, primary reason) and didn't do no steady 70? He was sealed and loaded... what am I missing? This was flat hwy ground on i70 IN eb...? He was gone! But a company driver
